Flint Cultural Center hires interim president

The Flint Cultural Center Corporation (FCCC) board of directors announces the appointment of Marsha Barber Clark as interim president and chief executive officer. Clark, a consultant with the NorthSky Nonprofit Network in northern Michigan, brings 26 years of CEO nonprofit experience to the FCCC. She served as CEO of Girl Scouts of Crooked Tree in Traverse City and, prior to that, executive director of Casa Maria Family Services in Detroit.
Clark holds a bachelor of science, master's of educational administration degree, and master's degree with a concentration in family studies from Central Michigan University. She has extensive experience in nonprofit management including executive transition, facility, property and financial management and strategic planning. Clark, who currently lives in Bellaire, Mich., is married and has two sons who are both Ph.D. candidates. She will maintain a residence in the Flint area during her tenure as interim president and CEO.
Clark will support the board and staff during a comprehensive assessment of the FCCC. Once the organization has gained a thorough understanding of its resources and opportunities, a search will begin for a permanent president and CEO whose skills best match the planned outcomes.
FCCC manages the 30-acre Flint Cultural Center campus and governs its member organizations Longway Planetarium, Sloan Museum, Buick Automotive Gallery and the Whiting.
