Mott grant goes for downtown security

The C.S. Mott Foundation has granted the Foundation for the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation $60,200 for downtown security from Sept. 1 to July 31.
This grant will support the expansion of a pilot project by the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation and its supporting organization, the Foundation for the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation, to promote safety and security in downtown Flint.
A uniformed security presence will patrol the area around the 400 and 500 blocks of South Saginaw Street in downtown Flint on foot and by car.
