Flint Children’s Museum has new executive director

The Flint Children's Museum says farewell to Susan Schneberger, transitional executive director, and welcomes Brian Dilworth as its new executive director.
Last year, under the leadership of Schneberger, more than 46,000 people visited the Flint Children's Museum. With the support of the Ruth Mott Foundation, the museum made vast improvements, including a new greenhouse, physical fitness circuit, giant sand pit, informational kiosk and three different gardens in the Sproutside exhibit.
As the new director, Dilworth's vision for the museum includes a place that continues to say "yes" to kids, provides outstanding customer service and reaches out to support the community and make their services available.
"The Children's Museum is so fortunate to have the support of the Flint community and surrounding areas," said Dilworth. "It is our goal to enhance the experience for those who visit our location by presenting new and improved exhibits. We also will strive to extend our reach outside of our walls by becoming more involved in community activities. We are proud to be part of Flint's cultural entertainment and educational offering."
Dilworth has over 20 years experience in nonprofit consulting, business development, capital campaign management and strategic planning. He has worked as the director of corporate development for an international Tier One automotive supplier and has worked on economic development at both state and local levels.
