Genesys Heart Institute adds three cardiologists

The Genesys Heart Institute recently expanded its heart specialist team with the addition of three cardiologists Dr. Sunil Rao, Dr. Frank Tilli and Dr. Thomas Vanhecke.
Rao obtained a fellowship in cardiology from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he also completed an internal medicine residency. Prior to joining the Genesys Heart Institute, he practiced as a senior staff cardiologist at Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals in Clinton Township. He is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. His focus is on preventive care. Rao also has a master's degree in health administration.
Tilli was named a "top doctor" in interventional cardiology last year by U.S. News & World Report. He obtained a fellowship in interventional cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, and a cardiovascular disease fellowship at The George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Tilli has conducted more than 50 cardiac clinical research trials.
Vanhecke obtained a fellowship in cardiovascular disease from William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He is board certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiovascular computed tomography. He specializes in congestive heart failure. He was raised in Genesee County, and chose to practice at Genesys in order to serve the community in which he grew up. He is well published and has conducted extensive research in cardiac care.
The office of Rao, Tilli and Vanhecke is in the medical office building on Genesys Regional Medical Center's Health Park Campus.
