McLaren Health Plan named top workplace

McLaren Health Plan is among Michigan's top workplaces in 2011, according to its employees and the Detroit Free Press.
Detroit Free Press' Top Workplaces recently recognized McLaren Health Plan in the small employer category at the breakfast celebration on Nov. 10.
"We are thrilled that more people will get to know the great people at McLaren Health Plan," said Kathy Kendall, president and CEO of McLaren Health Plan. "Creating an excellent work environment is one way of showing we appreciate our employees. Our team truly cares about the service they provide to our members and providers."
McLaren Health Plan was among 100 Michigan companies and nonprofit organizations honored at the ceremony. The Top Workplaces survey determines rankings through employees' anonymous responses to a set of 24 questions about key workplace factors such as managers, working conditions and career opportunities.
McLaren Health Plan is an award-winning health plan that serves businesses and residents throughout northern, southeast and mid-Michigan with a provider network that includes more than 60 hospitals and 15,000 physicians in 28 counties.
