Consider a gift annuity with Salvation Army

Most of us would like to leave a lasting legacy to show that our lives have made a difference. Through the Salvation Army's Planned Giving Program, you can leave a permanent reflection of your personal values and your love and concern for your family, friends and community. As you plan your legacy, consider the Salvation Army as a partner.
Act now if you would like to secure a charitable gift annuity with the Salvation Army before rates drop on April 1. A gift annuity is an agreement between you and the Salvation Army. In exchange for your irrevocable gift of $5,000 or more, you will receive secure, fixed payments during your life or the life of a designated loved one.
The gift annuity rate is determined by your age and the age of your beneficiary at the time of your gift. Your payments are fixed, regardless of market fluctuation. A major portion of your gift is tax-exempt and the payments may be deferred until a later time as part of your retirement plan.
Now is the time to take advantage of the current higher rates of 4.4 percent to 9.8 percent and receive payments for life.
The Salvation Army has been helping the families of Genesee County for more than 119 years through their social service programs. Thousands of individuals each year receive assistance with evictions and foreclosures, utility shutsoffs, food, character building programs for all ages and youth programs.
